Who Makes Shredz Burner For Women?
Shredz is becoming kind of a big player in the fitness and lifestyle supplement industry. They’ve really made a name for themselves using social media, specifically Instagram. By recruiting Instagrammers with lots of followers and turning them into “fitness models” promoting their products, Shredz employed a brilliant marketing scheme that works. At this point, they have a #ShredzArmy of devotees who promote for them. They also attend all the shows and conventions, drawing attention by demonstrating their fit and fun lifestyles.
Shredz Burner For Women Ingredients
Back to the product itself, what we really want to know is what’s in Shredz Burner For Women that makes it work or not?
The formula starts of with 2 B Vitamins and a B Vitamin lookalike:
Biotin (Vitamin B7) – 500 mcg
At 167% of the daily recommended allowance, Shredz Burner For Women provides you with plenty of Vitamin B7. Like the rest of the B vitamins, Biotin is crucial to many bodily functions. What’s most relevant in a fat burner is that it helps the body metabolize fat and carbohydrates. It’s also commonly used to bolster the health of your hair, skin, and nails.
Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5) – 4.5 mg
The 4.5 mg represents 45% of the daily recommended dose of Pantothenic Acid, which also facilitates the metabolism of carbohydrates and proteins.
Choline – 15 mg
Choline is similar to B vitamins in that it’s necessary for the metabolic processes of the body. The 15 mg is only 3 % of the daily recommendation. It helps the body use fat, especially fat that may be trapped in the liver.
The rest of the formula is found within a 467 mg proprietary blend and includes:
- Caffeine for the energy and metabolism boost, not to mention how it helps with focus.
- Theobromine which is mildly stimulating as well as mood elevating.
- Cayenne Pepper Extract which boosts your bodies metabolism, effectively burning the fires hotter.
- Acetyl L-Carnitine which helps you use stored fat and turn it into energy.
- Alpha Lipoic Acid which is an antioxidant that increases energy by changing the way your body uses glucose, sending it to muscle cells instead of fat cells. It’s been shown is several studies to contribute to fat loss.
- Green Tea Extract which actually works in a couple ways. It contains catechins called EGCGs that boost fat burning and increase metabolism. It also contain caffeine to act as an additional stimulant.
- Yohimbe Bark Extract which is a central nervous system stimulant. It contributes to fat loss by boosting athletic performance during exercise. It may also increase fat burning during exercise when taken just prior to working out.
- Guggul Lipid Extract which contributes to weight loss by boosting thyroid function.
- Synephrine Hcl, also known as Bitter Orange, also known as Citrus Aurantium. When ephedrine went off the market years ago, Synephrine came the closest to working like as effectively to burn fat. There are some concerns however, about the use of Synephrine. This is especially true when used in conjunction with caffeine, which is the case with Shredz Burner for Women.
My Assessment of the Formula
It’s got a fighting chance of having some benefit but there are a few drawbacks. Most of the formula is in the form of the 467 mg proprietary blend. What this means is that we don’t know how much of each ingredient is used. There’s a big difference between 25 mg of caffeine and 150 mg of caffeine. The same goes for each of the other ingredients in the blend.
I came across a question at the Shredz website. A customer wanted to know if Shredz Burner for Women contains caffeine. The answer was yes and the representative went on to state that a serving has about as much caffeine as a cup and a half of coffee. That’s about 150 mg.
Yohimbe can be effective at reasonable doses, but it can also present with dangerous side effects if you ingest too much.
This is why proprietary blends can be problematic. If you’re going to use certain ingredients, how much is very important. It’s the difference between getting the results you want and potentially being harmed.
Shredz Burner for Women Side Effects
Yohimbe can cause side effects. These include headaches, nausea, dizziness, chills, racing heartbeat. In some cases, it can cause a severe drop in blood pressure. Some people never feel these effects at all. Some people are quite sensitive to it.
Additionally, there’s the issue with the combination of caffeine and synephrine. Taken together, these can have similar effects to the Yohimbe.
The fact that Shredz Burner for Women has all three could be cause for concern, but on the other hand, the amounts could be so low as to be insignificant. If that’s the case, there’d be no side effects, but there’d be no benefits either.
How To Use Shredz Burner for Women
Instructions on the bottle tell you to take one pill with your first meal of the day and another about 4-6 ours later. Because of the stimulants, you won’t want to take it within several hours of when you’re planning to go to bed.
Shredz Burner for Women vs Shredz Burner for Men
Just for kicks, I took a quick look at the Shredz Burner for Men label to see what differences there are between the two. It turns out there’s very little difference. The women’s version contains Biotin, while the men’s version does not. That’s it. That’s the only difference. My only guess is that the Biotin is added to the women’s formula to help the ladies with strong hair and nails? But I have to admit it’s a little disappointing that they didn’t put more effort into making the product more distinctly for the needs of women.

Shredz Burner for Women Reviews
The Shredz website displays reviews for their products, including Shredz Burner for Women. Of the 50 reviews offered, they are all positive, with 4 or 5 stars. This is why we warn against only looking at feedback on a product’s website. They often don’t tell the whole story. Luckily, Amazon sells Shredz products too, so we have access to a more independent source of reviews.
The story over at Amazon.com is a little different with 21% The 4 and 5 star reviews make up 63% so it’s clear some users are getting results. Let’s take a look at what some customers are saying.
On the positive side, there’s Andrea who says:
and an unnamed Amazon customer who says:
This brings up a point I should make about Shredz as a company. They’ve created a community of very devoted users that call themselves the Shredz Army. The #ShredzArmy shares tips, advice, and workouts with each other, and support each other in their goals. This kind of branding can really create a movement, and it seems to be working with Shredz.
But Shredz Burner for Women has its detractors as well, most of whom complain about various side effects.
Here’s what Paulina has to say about her experience:
Leanna had a similar experience, but when she tried to contact customer service, they added insult to her injury:
The reports of side effects are consistent with the potential problems we spoke of earlier when talking about the ingredients. Caffeine with Synephrine and Yohimbe is a powerful combination. It’s no surprise that some people are having bad reactions to this stuff.
Should You Buy It?
It’s clear there are people using Shredz Burner for Women with great success. It’s also clear some customers have had very bad experiences. (And oh by the way, there’s also feedback from people who think it’s just a dud – no good effects, no bad).
This leaves us in a bit of a quandary about whether or not to use it. If you tend to be overly sensitive to stimulants or they don’t sit well with you, stay away. If not, you may want to consider trying it because if you can escape the side effects, you may get some good results out of it.
